I found this on Ben Jones' old DA site and decided to ink it in to match the Batman Rainfall that I did some time back. I find the rain inks to be fun but sometimes a little time consuming.

Ben Jones has a new DA site :iconbenjonesart: so check out his new stuff that he as put up. It also means that I need to go through his new stuff and see what pieces I can ink in at a later time.

Can somebody tell me who is Dyna Girl is?

Edit: 06/20/11 It always helps to talk with the original artist because then you know exactly what is going on. Ben Jones gave me the technical heads up today about which Dynagirl she is. Here is the information he sent me in his post to me: "Wrong Dynagirl people are mentioning. Dyna Girl (with the space is what they are talking about) Dynagirl (without the space is who this is created by :iconcarykelly: you can see his website here [link] and the artist for the book is :iconluvwyer:"

Edit: :iconangrysmurf: Angrysmurf pointed out that Dyna Girl is a hero from the 70s and the she was created by the same person who made hr puffnstuff. I will have to check this out later and see if I can find more information about her. Thanks Angrysmurf for giving me the heads up on this one.

Edit: 06/19/2011 :icondreamer-of-damsels: Dreamer Of Damsels pointed out some information to me about this character that can be found on Wikipedia. Check out the information that was put up below.

"From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl is a Sid and Marty Krofft live action children's television series from 1976. The series lasted 16 weeks (or one season) as part of the umbrella series The Krofft Supershow. During the second season, it was dropped along with Dr. Shrinker. When later syndicated in the package "Krofft Super Stars" and released on home video, the 16 segments, which were each about 12 minutes long, were combined into eight episodes.

The program playfully, but deliberately, lampooned the superhero combo of Batman and Robin, taking many of its cues from the earlier Batman television series. The show followed the crime-fighting exploits of female caped crusader Electra Woman (played by Deidre Hall) and her teen sidekick Dyna Girl (Judy Strangis), who worked in their off-time as reporters for a magazine. In each episode, the duo would don skintight spandex in a bright flash of light called an "Electra-Change", hop in the Electracar, and use an array of technically advanced gadgets to thwart an eclectic collection of supervillains. They are assisted by Frank Heflin, a scientist who stays at their "ElectraBase" while keeping in continual contact with the pair through their "ElectraComs."

Thanks David for finding out this information for me.

As you will notice a lot of the time I will ink a piece in even when I have no clue as to what is going on. Most times I ink a piece in because something catches my eye and I like it so I ink it.

Nicely done! I have the original of this in my sketch book collection from way back when Ben and I lived close to each other! Now he's gone and moved out to...some other state! We miss you Ben come back to Texas!!!

Anyway, as you guys have sussed out this Dynagirl is of no relation to the Kroft 70s TV version.

And an odd bit of trivia here...Ben did this after a forum suggestion I put up, and after I saw it I ended up writing an entire 3 part arc into the Dynagirl story based on the whole idea. It starts next issue, with a nod to Ben for inspiration!
