After several hours working on the Black Cat Spiderman Courtship page in Photoshop I decided to try out the traditional method of inking a page. First I inked the piece and then later after scanning it to high resolution I tweaked it a little in Photoshop to clean up the black areas that the pen leaves marks on the page. This took me 4 hours to do instead of being 9+ hours. You can find the penciled page at

I really enjoyed inking the pencils on this one. These days I choose higher quality and higher res pics to work on compared to what I did when I first starting working on these kinds of pages at the beginning of the year. There are certain artists that I focus more on than others because I happen to like their clean lines and how pure their black and whites are. Right now I am working on the colored version for this one but I put it off for a while because I was dissatisfied with the way the tones, shading and colors were coming out on the Darkness character. I am thinking of doing a possible pencil sketch of round two but not sure yet because I am too busy doing other things.

Can't wait to see the colored version of this one, you did a good stunning work, i'm trying to make some draws based on The Darkness i trying to make a combination whit the Comic and the Game

the darkness can make possible anything he can think of outta his power, also can summon minions, weakness is light, but jackie has been known to change the situtation into his favor (check The Darkness origins Vol 1)

The Darkness also got the Witchblade character knocked up without knowing it, only reason he didnt die from having sex is because the actual DARKNESS took over his body without him knowing
