Pencils: :iconmarcioabreu7: MARCIO ABREU
Inks: :iconnewerastudios: Izaak Wilson

I am not sure about the content of this one but it seems that Black Widow and Captain America are fighting in the snow. I enjoy working on Marcio's pencil line art because it is easy to see and clean looking compared to some artists. I wanted to title this one Black Widow Captain America Brawl but DA would not let me put in that title because it is too long. Let me know what you guys think of this piece. You can find the original at :iconseane:Sean Ellery's website: [link]

Great work! Like MARCIOABREU7 said, I would vary the line thickness more, but I know you didn't have access to a wider variety of pen sizes when you did this. Otherwise, I can't see anything to improve!

LOL you must be going through my work to check out what I have offer. Yes you are correct on what Marcio Abreu said about my work which is why I am trying to switch over to digital ink than traditional ink. I am half way through a Ghost Rider piece done by Jimbo Salgado and I am doing it in Photoshop for the digital inking which I have to say that so far it is looking good. I was doing the Cable piece at the same time I was doing the Ghost Rider and I think that the Ghost Rider piece will come out cleaner than the other one. So if everything turns out good and I can do these fast enough in Photoshop then I will switch over to digital ink.

Thats cool. I've dabbled in both digital and traditional inking myself. Personally, I prefer the traditional approach; for some reason I have issues keeping things as clean as I want when I can't directly see where my pen is (using a graphics tablet, that is). Oddly enough, I have no problem at all coloring comics or doing other graphic design work with a tablet. If the day comes that I can ever afford a Cintiq or similar device, I'll definitely get back into digital inking.

If you can afford it, by the way, you may want to try inking in Illustrator, rather than Photoshop. I've done both, and if I were going to stick to a digital workflow, I'd prefer inking in Illustrator and switching to Photoshop for the coloring. I found in Illustrator I was able to keep things cleaner, plus when finished you can blow it up as big as the colorist wants and still have clean, pure blacks for the colorist.

I may check out the Illustrator then because I am finding that Photoshop is slow when it comes to the inking process and I want to go fast like I do with the traditional method. I hate it when I am slow doing things when I know how to do it with the traditional methods.

I have been having a hard time finding any pens of any thickness that is bigger than the 0.5 here in China. I will keep looking until I find a 0.7 or start using another medium like marker or brush to do it. Thanks for the comment.

I finally found a store in Chongqing, China that sells a various widths of pens and brushes for artists to work with on ink pieces. So now I can do the different line thickness like I use to do when I was in the United States. :)
